Process Design & Consultancy
Process Engineering
The PI process team provide a comprehensive process engineering capability that adds value to your business at any stage in the life cycle of your oil and gas facilities. We build operational experience in at the concept and design phase to ensure smooth commissioning and plant performance from day 1. In the operating phase, we use our knowledge and experience to maximise bottom line operating profits from improved plant performance.
Our approach is to work with your own operations and engineering personnel to develop practicable cost effective solutions, ensuring shared ownership in order to aid rapid implementation and that all important sense of team success upon completion.
Front End Studies
PI’s multi-disciplined engineering team delivers fit for purpose front end design work to achieve agreed project objectives and deliver safe, reliable facilities. We have experience of both Brownfield and Greenfield developments. We have niche skills around machinery selection for new developments with compressors and gas turbines. We are experienced in the development and implementation of hydrocarbon measurement and allocation agreements for new satellite tieback developments. We can critically review third party designs and add value by improving their uptime and operability based upon our team’s extensive hands-on operating experience.
Process Studies & Production Enhancement
We increase client revenues by maximising uptime and where required, increasing plant capacity by debottlenecking and carrying our process reviews to extend nameplate capacities and allow safe operation in the original design margin. PI has niche skills in process control & operability and by improving plant optimisation, we are able to allow operating setpoints to be increased without risking spurious alarms and trips. We have a full flow assurance, steady state and dynamic simulation capability able to process work from FEED through to Operations Support.
We have significant experience of preparing and implementing plant performance trials to establish true physical constraints, once formal plant rate reviews have established it is safe to operate above original design nameplate capacities. PI has a track record in collecting and analysing loss reporting data to drive uptime performance improvements.
